Cooling Towel

Description

The Fatboy Cooling Towel uses the same evaporative cooling principle as your body’s own sweat response. The PVA material holds many times more water than cotton and releases it slowly as it evaporates, drawing heat away from whatever surface it contacts. When wet and wrung out, the towel drops to approximately 15C below the ambient air temperature, providing immediate and sustained relief from beach and pool heat without the need for ice, refrigeration, or any power source. Fatboy developed the Cooling Towel for the Dutch and Belgian beach and outdoor festival market, where warm summer days combined with limited shade make effective cooling accessories genuinely necessary rather than simply convenient.

The cooling towel is particularly effective when applied to pulse points, the wrists, temples, back of the neck, and the inside of the elbow, where blood vessels run close to the skin surface. Cooling these areas lowers perceived body temperature quickly and effectively. The towel can be re-cooled simply by wetting it again and wringing it out, so a single towel provides continuous relief throughout a long beach day without any preparation or refrigeration required. The carry tube keeps the towel damp between uses and prevents the PVA from stiffening when it dries out completely.

Rinse under fresh water to reactivate the cooling effect. Store in the carry tube while still slightly damp to prevent the PVA from stiffening. If the towel stiffens from complete drying, re-wet and flex gently to restore softness. Machine washable at 30C without fabric softener.
